Community Guidelines for Exhibition

2026 Jewish Artists' Exhibition | February 15, 2026

When preparing for an art exhibition, present your work professionally to align with the theme. All artwork and poems must be approved before the exhibition. Depictions of men or women must be dressed modestly, no depictions of G‑d, no depictions of private intimacy, etc. Artwork may not include nudity, sexual themes, or sexually suggestive content in imagery, text, or symbolism. No disrespectful language or imagery not in line with traditional Judaism. 

Artwork Presentation

  • Ensure your work is in good condition, with proper framing, clean edges, and no visible damage.
  • Frames and stands enhance the visual impact and provide support.
  • Paint canvas or wood panel edges for a polished look; framed cardboard is acceptable if well-presented.
  • Maintain consistency in style, theme, and presentation across multiple pieces.
  • Clearly label each piece with your name, title, medium, dimensions, price (if applicable), and creation year.
  • Poetry readings should be limited to 1 minute, with printed and framed poetry.

Artist Statement

  • Explain how your work connects to the exhibition theme, e.g., Ahavat Yisroel
  • Describe your inspiration and the concepts you're exploring.
  • Discuss the materials and techniques used. 

Engagement

  • Be present during the exhibition to engage with viewers and explain your work and inspiration.

Professionalism

  • Submit work on time and meet deadlines.
  • Maintain clear communication with organizers and artists.
  • Attend classes to understand the theme.
